The Magpul PRS Gen3 is the stock you bolt on when you're done fussing with your fit and you just want to ring steel. Built for AR-15/M16 and AR-10/SR25 platforms, it brings tool-less length of pull and cheek piece height adjustment to the table, so getting behind a scope and locking in a consistent cheek weld takes seconds instead of a trip to the toolbox. Everything runs off machined aluminum knobs with positive-locking click detents, which means once you set it, it stays set through recoil and rough handling.
This is a purpose-built precision stock, not a lightweight carbine setup. Under the polymer you've got steel adjustment shafts finished in Melonite for corrosion and wear resistance, plus aluminum components with hard anodizing. The butt-plate is beefed up to handle serious abuse, rated to take recoil all the way up to .50 BMG, so it's not going to flinch on your gas gun. The rubber butt-pad adjusts for both height and cant, giving you positive shoulder purchase that won't slip mid-string.
It's optimized for rifle-length receiver extensions and drops on without an A2 spacer, though it'll also work with many mil-spec carbine and A5-length tubes using standard castle nuts and end plates. Keep in mind the buffer tube isn't included, so you'll want the right receiver extension on hand. LOP adjusts across roughly a 1.4 inch range and comb height gives you about 0.8 inches of travel, enough to nail proper eye alignment behind just about any optic height.
