The Magpul PRO 700 Lite SA takes everything people liked about the original Pro 700 chassis and marries it to the PRS Lite rear end, giving you a lightweight precision foundation for short action Remington 700 and 700-footprint actions. The streamlined build weighs in around 4.4 pounds, roughly a full pound lighter than the chassis it grew out of, so you get a shootable, packable rig that still checks every box on the adjustability list. At its core sits a fully machined Type III hard anodized aluminum forend and V-bedding block, wrapped in Magpul polymer for better ergonomics, added strength, and a little sound dampening.
This is where the Lite really earns its keep. You get 0.8 inches of comb height and 1.4 inches of length of pull adjustment, plus a low-profile rubber butt-pad that adjusts for both height and cant so it plants cleanly into your shoulder. The vertical grip can be tuned for trigger reach, and the whole platform is fully ambidextrous once you swap the bolt retainer plate and QD sling swivel over. Righties and lefties are covered without buying a different part.
Two grips come in the box. The standard injection-molded grip has a 5-degree forward sweep with an enlarged palm swell, and the second offers a more aggressive angle for anyone who prefers a less vertical hold. Both slide 0.75 inches fore and aft on a common hex wrench. The integrated AICS-pattern magazine well runs Magpul PMAG 5 and 10 round 7.62 AC mags along with most short action AICS magazines, and the ambidextrous release is Melonite-treated steel to shrug off wear. A front barricade stop keeps the rifle off the magazine when you are shooting off support.
The forend is loaded with M-LOK slots (six left, six right, seven on the bottom) so bipods, arca rails, weights, and whatever else your match demands all have a home. The oversized trigger guard clears gloved hands and works with most factory and aftermarket curved or flat triggers. Made in the USA, it drops your barreled action in and gets you dialed without a gunsmith.

It is fully ambidextrous. Swapping the bolt retainer plate and moving the QD sling swivel gets it configured for either a right or left-hand action. Both parts are included, so there is nothing extra to buy for a lefty setup.
