Installation is straightforward and tool-free. Simply remove the magazine's floorplate, slip the polymer limiter into the magazine body, and snap the floorplate back on. The entire process takes about a minute, and you can remove and reinstall it whenever you need without damaging your magazine.
The limiter installs reversibly by design, but some users choose to permanently secure it with epoxy or a rivet if required by their situation. The limiter itself doesn't come with permanent attachment hardware, so any permanent installation would need to be done separately if desired.
A standard 20-round PMAG becomes a 10-round magazine, and a 25-round PMAG becomes a 15-round magazine when the limiter is installed. The limiter physically blocks the spring from loading rounds beyond the 10-round point.
