Magpul built the MOE PR to sit right between two worlds. It keeps the simple, lightweight bones of the legacy MOE Carbine Stock, then borrows a few design cues from the PRS Lite to sharpen up its precision game. The result is a stock that stays quick and nimble for close work but gives you real stability when you want to slow down and make a tighter shot.
The standout feature is the rest molded into the front edge of the stock. Your support hand grabs it and pulls rearward, driving the stock firmly into your shoulder for a more repeatable cheek and shoulder position. The bottom of the frame is shaped to ride a rear bag, so getting steady off a barricade or a squeeze bag is natural instead of a fight. A sloping cheek weld keeps the profile slim while still giving your face a comfortable place to land.
The non-slip rubber butt-pad does more than soak up a little recoil. It grips your shoulder for smoother transitions and plays nicely with plate carriers and heavier layers. Length of pull adjusts quickly across a mil-spec receiver extension and then locks back down when you settle in. Side mounting slots accept optional CTR cheek risers for non AR-15 setups, and a molded M-LOK slot at the rear lets you run a sling directly through it as a footman's loop or add an M-LOK QD Sling Mount to one or both sides.
Installation is the standard fare for a Magpul carbine stock. It slides onto any mil-spec sized buffer tube, and the shielded, ambidextrous release latch keeps you from bumping it loose while you work. It's made in the USA from Magpul's high-strength polymer, so it holds up to regular range and field use. If you want one stock that can pull double duty between fast handling and bag-supported precision, the MOE PR is a smart pick.
The MOE PR is built for mil-spec sized AR-15/M4 receiver extensions. It slides on and locks in place with a shielded, ambidextrous release latch. If your rifle uses a commercial-spec tube, this version won't be the right fit, so check what's already on your gun before ordering.
This is where it shines. The bottom of the stock frame is shaped to ride a rear bag for a stable contact point, and the front rest lets your support hand pull rearward to lock the stock into your shoulder. Together they make settling into a supported position quick and repeatable.
Yes. There's an M-LOK slot molded into the rear of the stock, so you can run a sling directly through it as a footman's loop or add a Magpul M-LOK QD Sling Mount to one or both sides for push-button attachment.
The MOE PR keeps the light, simple feel of the classic MOE line but adds precision features pulled from the PRS Lite, mainly the support-hand rest and the bag-riding bottom. Compared to a plain MOE it's aimed more at supported, precision-style shooting while staying light enough to run fast. It's a good middle ground if you want one stock that does both.
