Description
The Magpul MOE-K2 takes the standard AR grip and rethinks the angle. Instead of the laid-back 25-degree sweep of an A2 or MOE grip, the K2 runs a steeper 17-degree vertical angle that brings your firing hand in closer to your body. That geometry really shines on shorter length-of-pull setups and PDW-style builds, where a squared-up stance feels more natural and your wrist isn't fighting the grip. It's a full-size profile too, so it fills the hand without feeling chunky or cheap.
What the MOE-K2 Brings to Your Build
Magpul went with their aggressive TSP texture, short for Trapezoidal Surface Projections, and it does exactly what you want a grip texture to do: keep your hand locked in whether you're running dry, sweaty, or in the rain. The backstrap is contoured to naturally set your trigger finger where it should be, which is a real upgrade coming off the old A2 grip where the reach to the trigger always felt a hair too short. The bottom edge uses a harder polymer to resist snags and scuffs when you're setting the rifle down or working around gear.
Storage and Fit on the MOE-K2 Grip
This grip is hollow inside and accepts Magpul's optional Storage Cores, so you can stash a spare battery, a bore snake, or a small parts kit right in the grip. The cores are sold separately, but a basic grip cap comes in the box so you're ready to run out of the gate. It's a true drop-in swap for AR-15 and M4 pattern lowers, and it'll work on AR-10 and SR25 platforms as well, though some of those receivers may show a small cosmetic gap at the beavertail that doesn't affect function.
Gray gives you a slightly softer, more understated look than flat black, and it pairs nicely with FDE or gray Cerakote builds. Made in the USA, the K2 is one of those upgrades that costs a little and pays back every range trip.

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes the MOE-K2 grip angle different from a standard AR grip?
The MOE-K2 runs a steeper 17-degree angle versus the roughly 25 degrees of an A2 or standard MOE grip. That more vertical geometry pulls your firing hand in tighter to your body, which reduces wrist strain and feels more natural on short length-of-pull rifles and PDW-style builds. If you shoot from a squared-up stance, the difference is noticeable.
Is the Magpul MOE-K2 hard to install?
Not at all. It's a true drop-in replacement for AR-15 and M4 pattern grips, so you just remove the single grip screw on your existing grip and swap the K2 on with the included hardware. Most people have it done in a couple of minutes with basic tools.
Can I store gear inside the MOE-K2 grip?
Yes. The grip is hollow and accepts Magpul's optional Storage Cores, which let you stash a spare battery, small cleaning kit, or spare parts inside. The cores are sold separately, but a basic grip cap is included so the grip is sealed and ready to run right away.
Will the MOE-K2 fit an AR-10 or SR25?
It will. The grip works on AR-10 and SR25 pattern rifles as well as AR-15 and M4 lowers. Depending on the receiver, you might see a small cosmetic gap at the beavertail on some larger-frame rifles, but it's purely aesthetic and doesn't affect how the grip functions.
