The Magpul Pro 700 Lite LA takes the guts of Magpul's original Pro 700L chassis and pairs them with the PRS Lite buttstock, giving you a lighter, streamlined build without giving up the features that matter. It rides on a fully machined Type III hard-anodized aluminum forend and V-bedding block, then wraps that billet core in Magpul polymer for a mix of strength, comfortable ergonomics, and a bit of sound dampening. The whole thing tips the scale around 4.5 pounds, roughly a pound less than the standard Pro 700L, which your shoulder will thank you for on longer carries.
This stock is built to fit the shooter, not the other way around. You get about 0.8 inches of comb height adjustment and 1.4 inches of length-of-pull range, working from roughly 13.0 to 14.4 inches. The low-profile rubber butt-pad adjusts for both height and cant so it locks solidly into your shoulder pocket. Magpul includes a second grip too, so you can run a near-vertical hold or switch to a more swept AR-style grip with a larger palm swell depending on how you like to reach the trigger.
Swapping the bolt retainer plate flips the Pro 700 Lite LA over for left-handed use, and the QD sling swivel socket is reversible to match. The integrated AICS-pattern magazine well is set up for long-action rounds like .30-06 and .300 Win Mag, running Magpul's PMAG 5 AC L Standard and Magnum mags along with most other AICS-pattern magazines. A low-profile ambidextrous mag release made of Melonite-treated steel keeps things snag-free, and a front barricade stop keeps the rifle off the magazine when you're shooting off support.
The forend is loaded with M-LOK slots for bipods, lights, and whatever else your loadout calls for, with six on each side and seven along the bottom, plus two more on the underside of the stock. The oversized trigger guard clears gloved hands and accepts most factory and aftermarket curved or flat triggers.
