The Magpul Pro 700 Lite LA takes everything people love about Magpul's original Pro 700 chassis and puts it on a diet. It pairs the Pro 700L chassis with the PRS Lite butt-stock to create a long action precision shooting platform that tips the scales at under 5 pounds, roughly a full pound lighter than the chassis it grew out of. At the heart of it is a fully machined Type III hard anodized aluminum forend and V-bedding block wrapped in Magpul polymer, which gives you the rigidity you want for repeatable accuracy along with better ergonomics and a noticeable drop in that hollow aluminum ring when you touch off a round.
This is where the stock earns its keep. The PRS Lite butt-stock adjusts for 0.8 inches of comb height and 1.4 inches of length of pull, landing you somewhere between 13.0 and 14.4 inches depending on how you set it. The low-profile rubber butt-pad is adjustable for both height and cant, so you can lock in solid, repeatable shoulder contact. Up front, the pistol grip gives you 0.75 inches of fore and aft travel to fine-tune trigger reach, and Magpul throws in a second grip with a more aggressive 8-degree forward, 20-degree aft sweep for folks who prefer a less vertical hold.
The integrated AICS-pattern magazine well is optimized for long action rounds like .30-06 and .300 Win Mag, and it runs Magpul's PMAG 5 AC L Standard and Magnum mags along with most other AICS long action magazines. You get an ambidextrous, anti-snag Melonite-treated steel mag release, plus a front barricade stop that keeps the rifle from resting on the magazine when you're shooting off support. The oversized trigger guard clears gloved fingers and plays nice with most factory and aftermarket triggers, curved or flat. It fits right and left-hand Remington 700-pattern long actions with a quick bolt retainer plate swap, accepts barrels up to an MTU profile, and gives you 19 M-LOK slots for bipods, sling hardware, and whatever else your setup calls for.
