Description
The Magpul Pro 700 Lite LA takes everything people love about Magpul's original Pro 700 chassis and puts it on a diet. It pairs the Pro 700L chassis with the PRS Lite butt-stock to create a long action precision shooting platform that tips the scales at under 5 pounds, roughly a full pound lighter than the chassis it grew out of. At the heart of it is a fully machined Type III hard anodized aluminum forend and V-bedding block wrapped in Magpul polymer, which gives you the rigidity you want for repeatable accuracy along with better ergonomics and a noticeable drop in that hollow aluminum ring when you touch off a round.
Dialing In the Pro 700 Lite LA to Your Body
This is where the stock earns its keep. The PRS Lite butt-stock adjusts for 0.8 inches of comb height and 1.4 inches of length of pull, landing you somewhere between 13.0 and 14.4 inches depending on how you set it. The low-profile rubber butt-pad is adjustable for both height and cant, so you can lock in solid, repeatable shoulder contact. Up front, the pistol grip gives you 0.75 inches of fore and aft travel to fine-tune trigger reach, and Magpul throws in a second grip with a more aggressive 8-degree forward, 20-degree aft sweep for folks who prefer a less vertical hold.
Feeding and Fit on the Pro 700 Lite LA
The integrated AICS-pattern magazine well is optimized for long action rounds like .30-06 and .300 Win Mag, and it runs Magpul's PMAG 5 AC L Standard and Magnum mags along with most other AICS long action magazines. You get an ambidextrous, anti-snag Melonite-treated steel mag release, plus a front barricade stop that keeps the rifle from resting on the magazine when you're shooting off support. The oversized trigger guard clears gloved fingers and plays nice with most factory and aftermarket triggers, curved or flat. It fits right and left-hand Remington 700-pattern long actions with a quick bolt retainer plate swap, accepts barrels up to an MTU profile, and gives you 19 M-LOK slots for bipods, sling hardware, and whatever else your setup calls for. Made in the USA.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will the Pro 700 Lite LA fit my Remington 700 long action?
Yes, it's built specifically for Remington 700-pattern long actions and other rifles that share the same footprint. It works with both right and left-hand actions by swapping the bolt retainer plate. It also clears factory and aftermarket barrels up to an MTU profile, so heavy bull barrels are no problem.
What magazines does the Magpul Pro 700 Lite LA use?
It uses an integrated AICS-pattern magazine well optimized for long action cartridges like .30-06 and .300 Win Mag. Magpul designed it around their PMAG 5 AC L Standard and Magnum long action mags, though it will run most other AICS-pattern long action magazines. Always confirm your specific magazine and cartridge combination before heading to the range.
How is the Pro 700 Lite LA different from the standard Pro 700L chassis?
The Lite version pairs the Pro 700L chassis with the PRS Lite butt-stock to shave weight, coming in around a full pound lighter at roughly 4.5 pounds. You keep the core precision features like the billet aluminum bedding block and full adjustability, just in a streamlined package. It's a great pick if you want a precision rig that's still manageable to carry in the field.
Does the Pro 700 Lite LA come with everything needed to build my rifle?
It includes the stock, both pistol grip options, the oversized trigger guard, and the bolt retainer plate for ambidextrous setup. You'll still need your barreled action, an AICS-pattern magazine, and any M-LOK accessories like a bipod or sling hardware. Action screws should be verified for your specific action during install.
