If you are running a Magpul Hunter 700L and you are tired of loading rounds one at a time through the top, this is the upgrade that fixes it. The MAG569-BLK is Magpul's bolt-action magazine well kit built to convert your Hunter 700L stock over to detachable box magazines. It replaces your factory bottom metal and drops right in, feeding AICS-pattern long action magazines so you can top off fast in the field or on the range.
The swap is about as simple as bottom metal upgrades get. Pull the OEM bottom metal off your Hunter 700L, set this reinforced polymer trigger guard and mag well in its place, and you are done, no custom inletting required. The kit runs steel action screw pillars for a solid, repeatable bedding surface, and the whole assembly stays light thanks to the polymer construction. Keep in mind that receiver dimensions vary from rifle to rifle, so a little gunsmithing may be needed to dial in the best fit and function.
This is the Magnum version, so it is set up for the .300 Winchester Magnum family and other magnum rounds built on a 0.530-inch belted case head, including .257 Weatherby, .264 Winchester, .270 Weatherby, and 7mm Remington Magnum. It ships with one Magpul PMAG 5 AC L, Magnum to get you feeding right out of the box, and it plays nice with AICS-spec long action magazines including steel AI mags if that is what you already own. Worth noting, the included PMAG is not made for .404 Jeffery-based cartridges like the RUM, RSAUM, WSM, or WSSM rounds.
Magpul went with a large trigger guard here, which means you can work the trigger with gloves on during cold-weather hunts, and it accepts most factory and aftermarket curved triggers. The magazine release is a low-profile, ambidextrous design made from Melonite-treated steel, so it shrugs off wear and corrosion while staying snag-free on a sling or pack. Made in the USA, it is a clean, functional way to bring modern magazine feeding to a classic Remington 700 long action platform.

It is designed for AICS-pattern long action magazines, so you have plenty of options beyond the included PMAG. Users have reported success running steel AI-spec long action mags as well. One PMAG 5 AC L, Magnum comes in the box so you can start feeding right away.
It is engineered specifically for the Magpul Hunter 700L stock and is the intended, no-fuss fit there. Some owners have made it work in other Remington 700 long action stocks with minor fitting, but that falls outside the design intent and may take extra effort. For a clean, straightforward install, pair it with the Hunter 700L stock it was built for.
