The Magpul EHG RG9 grip frame is designed specifically for the Ruger RXM Full-Size pistol and gives you a straightforward way to customize your gun's feel and function. Built from durable injection-molded polymer and finished in Flat Dark Earth, this grip works as a stripped frame that accepts Ruger's Fire Control Insert (FCI), so you can transfer your existing internals without needing a second serialized part.
The grip itself does the heavy lifting on ergonomics. Magpul's 3/4-scale Trapezoidal Surface Projection (TSP) texture covers the front strap, back strap, side panels, and forward index pads, delivering a secure grip without being overly aggressive or uncomfortable during long sessions. The undercut trigger guard lets you get a higher grip position for better recoil control, while the flared magazine well speeds up reloads by giving magazines a wider opening to seat into. A recessed magazine release scallop makes it easy to access, and the carry bob at the heel helps keep the gun from printing when you're carrying concealed.
The universal accessory rail at the front accepts standard lights and lasers, giving you room to build the gun exactly how you need it. This grip frame is compatible with most Gen3 aftermarket parts, and it functions with many Magpul GL9 and OEM 9mm Glock magazines, so you're not locked into a single magazine ecosystem. Coming in at less than 3 ounces, the weight penalty is minimal compared to factory grips.
Since the RXM is built around Ruger and Magpul's modular system, this grip swaps in without any gunsmithing. If you want to experiment with different sizes or colors, you can do that by moving your FCI to another grip frame. The EHG RG9 comes shipped with the magazine release, release spring, slide-lock spring, and takedown pin spring, so installation is straightforward.
Yes. The FCI is the serialized part that stays with your gun, and it transfers directly into any EHG RG9 grip frame. You can swap between different colors and sizes by simply moving the FCI from one grip to another, which is the whole point of the modular design.
The full-size frame is compatible with 17-round Magpul GL9 magazines and OEM 9mm Glock magazines that hold 17 rounds or more. Since the RXM is built on Gen3 Glock architecture, most standard Glock Gen3 magazines will also function in this grip.
The 3/4-scale TSP texture is noticeably grippier than factory Glock or Ruger polymer, with a raised trapezoidal pattern that locks in your hand without tearing up your skin or holster. It's aggressive enough to keep control in wet or sweaty conditions but not so much that it becomes uncomfortable during extended range sessions.
