This Magpul MOE/CTR Cheek Riser fixes that by raising your cheek weld a half inch, so your eye drops right into line with the glass and your face has something solid to plant against every time you shoulder the gun.
This is a clip-on riser molded to fit Magpul CTR, MOE, DT, and PR carbine stocks. It snaps on without tools and without any permanent changes to the stock, so if you want to swap it out or bump up to the 3/4 inch version down the road, nothing's stopping you. The half-inch height is the middle option in the lineup and tends to be the sweet spot for a lot of common optic mounting heights, giving you that consistent, repeatable cheek weld that translates straight into steadier sight alignment.
Made in the USA from the same tough polymer Magpul is known for, the riser shrugs off impacts and weather and keeps a low, clean profile once it's clipped in place. The gray finish blends in nicely against gray stocks or adds a subtle two-tone look on black and FDE setups. It clips on snug and stays put through recoil, no rattle or wobble.
Worth knowing up front: this riser was originally designed for M14 carbine stock conversions and is built for non-AR15/M4 applications, since it can interfere with charging handle function unless the stock is fully extended. Folks run these on M1A/M14 builds, bolt guns wearing CTR stocks, shotguns, pistol-caliber builds, and plenty of other rifles where the charging handle isn't in the way. If that fits your setup, it's a simple, affordable way to dial in your cheek weld.
It's designed to clip onto Magpul CTR, MOE, DT, and PR carbine stocks. It snaps on without any tools and doesn't require you to modify the stock. If you've got one of those stocks and want a higher cheek weld, this is a direct fit.
Magpul designed this riser for non-AR15/M4 applications because it can interfere with the charging handle unless the stock is fully extended. On an AR-15 with a collapsible stock, you'd have to run the stock all the way out to work the charging handle. It's a better match for M1A/M14 conversions, bolt guns, shotguns, and other builds where the charging handle isn't a factor.
This model adds a half inch (0.50 inch) of height to your cheek weld. Magpul also makes a 0.25 inch and a 0.75 inch version if you need less or more. The half-inch tends to be the go-to for lining up with most common optic mounting heights.
Yes. The polymer riser clips on snug and holds its position through recoil without rattling or shifting. Since it's a clip-on design with no screws, you can pull it off just as easily if you want to swap heights or move it to another stock.
