This magazine is specifically designed for full-size XD-M 9mm pistols and is not compatible with XD-M Elite models with installed magwells or original standard XD (non-M) models. If you own an XD-M full-size, this is the magazine you need. Springfield includes a limited lifetime warranty with these factory magazines, so you're backed from the moment you purchase.
No, this is specifically designed for XD-M models only. XD-M magazines are not interchangeable with original XD or XD Mod.2 pistols in 9mm. If you own a standard XD or Mod.2, you'll need the 16-round XD magazine instead. Trying to force incompatible magazines can result in feeding problems or damage.
Not with an installed magwell. Standard XD-M magazines will not fit XD-M Elite pistols that have the flared magwell accessory installed. Springfield makes dedicated XD-M Elite magazines with 22-round capacity that are designed to work with the modified magwell.
The witness holes are small round openings on the back and sides of the magazine that let you see the round count at a glance. As you load rounds into the magazine, they fill the witness holes from bottom to top, giving you a quick visual reference without having to unload or manually count every round.
