The HD/+P variant (MPN 500AHD) takes the standard ETM platform and upgrades the internals with Wilson Combat's MAX flatwire spring. This heat-treated stainless spring runs up to 25% stronger than a standard 1911 mag spring, which means more reliable feeding and more positive slide lockback with defensive loads and +P ammunition. Wilson Combat guarantees the MAX spring will never lose its feeding tension for the life of the magazine. The no-tilt convex nylon follower is fiber-filled for self-lubrication and features an extended skirt that keeps it stable in the tube and ensures positive slide lock after the last round fires.
The aluminum base pad on this model is there for a reason. It handles the rigors of hard training use and repeated mag drops without cracking or deforming the way polymer pads can. It also gives you a solid, positive grip when ripping a magazine out of a tight pouch under stress. Observation slots are numbered and positioned toward the rear of the tube to preserve structural integrity while still giving you a fast round count at a glance.

This magazine is designed specifically for full-size Wilson Combat 1911 Elite Tactical pistols, fitting both Government-length (5-inch barrel) and Commander-length (4.25-inch barrel) frames. Full-size 1911 frames are identified by a grip screw spacing of 3.0625 inches center to center. If you are unsure whether your 1911 takes a standard full-size magazine, Wilson Combat recommends contacting them directly, as some 1911 models use proprietary magazine designs.
The HD/+P version swaps in Wilson Combat's MAX flatwire spring, which runs roughly 25% stronger than a standard 1911 magazine spring. That added spring tension is specifically designed to handle the increased slide velocity that comes with heavier .45 ACP defensive loads and +P ammunition, while still providing reliable feeding with standard pressure rounds. Wilson Combat also guarantees the MAX spring will never need replacement for the life of the magazine.

Wilson Combat covers the magazine tube under their Lifetime Satisfaction Policy, replacing any tube that spreads, cracks, or becomes unusable through normal use at no cost to the owner. Springs and followers are considered consumable parts and are not covered under the lifetime policy, though they are user-replaceable. The base pad is also user-removable and interchangeable with other Wilson Combat-compatible base pads.
The ETM is designed around standard full-size 1911 dimensions and will function in many Government and Commander-length 1911 pistols from other manufacturers. Wilson Combat does note that some Kimber 1911 models have undressed barrel feed ramps from the factory that can interfere with the magazine's front ramp, which may require a gunsmith to address. Certain 1911 variants like the Springfield Armory EMP and Kimber Micro series use proprietary magazines and are not compatible.
