The extended floorplate adds a finger ledge at the base of the magazine that makes stripping the mag from the pistol easier and gives you a bit more surface area to grip during a reload. For guys with larger hands, that extra edge is genuinely useful. Some folks swap their carry mag to a flush plate and keep the extended floorplate version as a spare or range mag. This mag is compatible with the full-size HK USP45, the USP45 Tactical, the USP Expert, and the USP Elite. It is not a fit for the HK Mark 23 without a floorplate swap. If you're stocking up on spare magazines for training, duty, or just keeping a solid backup on hand, this is the version to grab.
The magazine body itself is compatible, but the extended floorplate on this USP45 magazine will not seat correctly in the Mark 23 without swapping it to a Mark 23 floorplate. If you plan to use it in a Mark 23, you would need to change the baseplate before it will fit flush and function properly.
