The Luth-AR A3 stripped upper receiver is the kind of no-nonsense starting point serious AR-15 builders reach for. It comes machined from a 7075-T6 aluminum forging and finished in black hardcoat anodizing, which gives it the strength and scratch resistance you want in a part that takes the brunt of your barrel, bolt, and optic. It ships completely stripped, so you get a clean slate to spec out exactly the way you like.

The flattop A3 design carries a full-length 12-position Picatinny rail, giving you plenty of real estate to run a red dot, LPVO, magnifier, or a set of flip-up backup sights. It's cut for .223 Remington and plays nice with 5.56 and .300 Blackout builds too.
This receiver includes M4-type feed ramps, which are the modern standard and help keep feeding smooth across a range of bullet weights. One thing worth knowing: when you run an M4-cut upper like this one, you'll want to pair it with an M4-cut barrel extension so the ramps line up correctly. Most current barrels already have the M4 cuts, so it usually isn't an issue, but it's smart to double-check before you press your barrel in.
Because it's stripped, the upper does not come with a forward assist, dust cover, or ejection port hardware. The housings are there and machined to accept them, so you'll add your own upper parts kit along with your barrel, bolt carrier group, charging handle, and handguard.
