Lone Peak has been machining custom actions since 2014, and the Fuzion-Ti is their answer for hunters and builders who count every ounce. This right-handed long action is cut for a magnum bolt face, so it's ready to feed the big belted and beltless magnums you'd want reaching across a canyon. The whole action body is machined from 6AL-4V titanium, which is where the weight savings come from, trimming right around half a pound compared to a similar stainless action. Long action weight lands near 21.5 to 22 ounces with the bolt assembly, which makes a real difference by the time you've hiked to the top of the ridge.
The receiver wears a DLC (diamond-like carbon) coating for extreme hardness and low friction, so it shrugs off wear and weather on long hunts. Up top you get an integral 20 MOA split Picatinny rail with the Alpine port cut, giving you plenty of elevation for long shots while shaving more mass out of the middle. An integral recoil lug keeps everything locked up rigid under recoil, and a full rail is available if you'd rather run one.
Every action ships with a one-piece fluted bolt made from pre-hardened 4340 chrome-moly with a nitride finish. The fluting trims reciprocating mass so the bolt runs quicker and lighter in the hand, and the nitride adds hardness and corrosion resistance for high round counts. A mini M-16 style extractor and plunger ejector handle brass reliably, while the lightweight firing pin assembly delivers a fast lock time for consistent ignition. The magazine well is cut for Wyatt extended mag boxes and supports BDL or DBM setups with AICS-pattern magazines.
Built on the Remington 700 footprint, the Fuzion-Ti drops into the widest range of stocks, chassis systems, triggers, and bottom metal on the market. It takes a 1 1/16 x 16 TPI barrel tenon, so pairing it with a pre-fit or a gunsmith-turned barrel is straightforward. This is a bare action, so plan on adding your barrel, bottom metal, trigger, and stock to finish the build.

A magnum long action opens the door to the bigger long-action magnum cartridges, from the belted classics to modern beltless magnums built on a magnum-diameter case head. Since you're choosing the barrel, you can chamber it for whatever magnum your build calls for. Just match your bolt face, magazine box, and barrel to the cartridge you have in mind.
The standard Fuzion is machined from 416R stainless steel and is geared toward competition and high round counts, while the Fuzion-Ti swaps to 6AL-4V titanium to shed weight for mountain and backcountry hunting. The Ti also gets a DLC-coated receiver and the Alpine port split rail. If you're building a lightweight hunting rig, the Fuzion-Ti is the one to reach for.
