The LBE Unlimited BAR125M gives you a stout starting point for a short, handy AR-15. This barrel is cold hammer forged from chrome moly vanadium steel, which is the same manufacturing method a lot of premium and mil-spec barrels use. Hammer forging work-hardens the steel and produces clean, consistent rifling that holds up round after round. Both the inside and outside get a melonite treatment, so you're getting corrosion resistance and extended life where it counts, not just a pretty exterior.
LBE went with a mid-length gas system here, and that's a smart call for a 12.5" barrel. Mid-length softens the recoil impulse and eases wear on the internals compared to a shorter carbine setup, which usually translates to a rifle that just feels nicer to shoot and stays reliable longer. The muzzle is threaded 1/2×28, the standard for 5.56, so it'll take just about any flash hider, comp, or suppressor mount you want to hang on it. It also ships with the M4 feed ramp extension already fitted, so it drops right into a standard AR-15 upper.
