This 16-inch version pairs a CNC-machined LaRue billet upper with a precision-machined billet lower, both wearing a hard-anodized finish that holds up to range days and rough handling alike. It runs a direct impingement gas system and ships with one LaRue-branded 30-round Amend2 magazine, so you're set to load up the moment it clears your FFL.
The heart of this rifle is the stealth medium-weight contour barrel with 1:8 twist rifling, M4 feed ramps, and a 1/2-28 threaded muzzle capped with a birdcage flash hider. That 1:8 twist is the sweet spot for 5.56, stabilizing everything from lighter 55-grain plinking loads up through heavier 69 and 77-grain match bullets. LaRue is candid that the rifle is built to be capable of sub-MOA accuracy, with plenty of owners reporting groups under half an inch when they feed it quality match-grade ammo.
