The design traces its roots to the Vector submachine gun platform, and that lineage shows in everything from the aggressive angular lines to the way the thing actually handles at the range. The Super V Recoil Mitigation System is the core of what makes it special: instead of the bolt cycling straight back like a conventional semi-auto, it travels downward along internal frame channels, counteracting the barrel's natural tendency to climb. The barrel sits below the fire control group, giving the Vector one of the lowest bore axes of any pistol on the market. The Gen 2 uses a four-pin tool-free takedown system, meaning you push out the pins by hand to separate the upper and lower receivers. It's one of the more straightforward takedowns on a pistol this unconventional. Once split, you have clear access to the Super V bolt carrier assembly and barrel for routine cleaning and lubrication.
The rear QD sling attachment point on the upper receiver is designed to accept an AR-pattern buffer tube, which opens the door to adding a shoulder stock and registering the firearm as a short-barreled rifle through the proper federal channels.
