The KRISS Vector SDP has always turned heads, but the Gen3 in 10mm Auto might be its best form yet. The platform is built around KRISS's patented Super V Recoil Mitigation System, a delayed blowback operating system that sends the bolt carrier group downward into the lower housing rather than straight back at the shooter. The barrel sits below the fire control group, in line with the second knuckle of the shooting hand, giving you genuine mechanical leverage over recoil forces. In a hard-hitting caliber like 10mm, that engineering matters a lot in the real world.
For Gen3, KRISS completely redesigned the upper and lower housings to improve hand support and open up customization options. You get a full-length MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny top rail for optics, an M-LOK handguard up front for lights and accessories, and a rear Picatinny rail that accepts a folding stock or pistol brace if you want to go that route. The ambidextrous controls include both a short-throw safety lever and a reversible magazine release. Field stripping is done with four push-pins and requires no tools, which is a detail that matters once you've cleaned a few thousand rounds through it.
The 10mm Vector runs on Glock 20-compatible full-size factory magazines, and this one ships with a 33-round magazine giving you 33+1 capacity. If you already own a Glock 20, you're set on the magazine front. The 5.5-inch barrel is machined from chrome moly steel, finished in black nitride for corrosion resistance, and threaded at 9/16×24 right-hand pitch, which is a standard pattern for 10mm and .40 S&W suppressors and muzzle devices.
The Vector SDP was practically built to wear a can. The compact overall length of 15.35 inches keeps the package manageable even with a suppressor attached, and the Super V system's downward recoil redirect plays very nicely with suppressed fire. The skeletonized trigger has just 0.7mm of pre-travel and a single-stage pivoting break that's notably cleaner than what you'd find on most pistol-caliber platforms. Flip-up front and rear sights are included and co-witness well with a red dot mounted on the full-length top rail. At around 5.6 lbs unloaded, this isn't a gun you'll holster conventionally, but as a home defense, range, or suppressor host pistol, it checks a lot of boxes in a package that's genuinely unlike anything else on the market.
The 10mm Vector feeds from full-size Glock 20-compatible factory magazines. KRISS specifically recommends full-size factory Glock magazines, Gen3 or newer, and notes that compact and subcompact Glock magazine bodies are not compatible. If you already own a Glock 20, your existing magazines will work directly in the Vector.
It's a very capable suppressor host. The barrel is threaded at 9/16×24 right-hand pitch, which is a standard pattern that fits most suppressors rated for 10mm, .40 S&W, and .45 ACP. The compact 15.35-inch overall length keeps the total package manageable with a can attached, and the Super V recoil system's downward-redirect mechanism is well suited for suppressed use.
The Super V system is a delayed blowback design where the bolt carrier group travels rearward and then angles sharply downward into a recess in the lower housing, guided by internal channels. This redirects recoil energy downward rather than straight back into your hands. Combined with the barrel's ultra-low bore axis positioned near the shooter's second knuckle, the result is dramatically reduced muzzle rise compared to a conventional blowback pistol, which is especially noticeable with a cartridge as energetic as 10mm Auto.
Yes. The Gen3 SDP features a rear MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rail specifically designed to accept folding stocks and pistol braces, including the KRISS Gen3 Folding Stock. This is a notable upgrade over earlier Vector generations, which used proprietary attachment systems. Adding a brace or stock can make a big difference in managing the Vector's weight at around 5.6 lbs unloaded.
The Vector's full-length top rail accepts any standard Picatinny-mount optic, but the platform has a notably tall sight line due to its low bore axis design. Optics with a generous eye box and large window, like a Holosun 510C or similar wide-view red dot, tend to work well because they compensate for the elevated mounting height and allow for quick target acquisition. The included flip-up sights co-witness with a red dot on a standard height mount.
The Gen3 arrived in 2024 and brought a fully redesigned upper and lower housing for better ergonomics and hand support, a new low-profile Gen3 upper housing, a Gen3 bolt release and mounting block, and a rear Picatinny rail for direct stock or brace attachment without adapters. The ambidextrous magazine release is also new to Gen3, along with the M-LOK handguard replacing older Picatinny side rails. It's a meaningful refinement across the board over Gen2.
