The SDP Gen 3 takes the DNA of KRISS USA's original submachine gun design and packages it into a pistol-configuration firearm that's built for personal protection, home defense, and range use. The Black/FDE two-tone finish on this particular model is a Lipsey's exclusive, giving it a clean two-tone look that sets it apart even from other Vector variants.
The headline feature is KRISS's patented Super V Recoil Mitigation System. Rather than letting the bolt cycle straight back like a conventional blowback design, the Super V routes the bolt carrier downward into the lower receiver through perpendicular channels in the frame. That downward mass acts as a counterweight to the barrel's natural tendency to rise, and combined with what KRISS claims is the lowest bore axis of any firearm in the world, the result is a pistol that shoots noticeably flatter than you'd expect.
