There really isn't anything else that looks or shoots quite like the KRISS Vector. The SDP G2 is the pistol-format version of the Vector platform, chambered in 9mm and finished in Cerakote Alpine White that gives it a clean, aggressive look without the fingerprint magnetism of a standard black finish. At its core is the Super V Recoil Mitigation System, a closed-bolt delayed-blowback operating system where a low-mass slider runs in channels perpendicular to the barrel, actively pushing the bolt's energy downward instead of letting it climb. Combine that with the Vector's ultra-low bore axis, which places the barrel below the fire control group and in line with the shooting hand's second knuckle, and you get a pistol that stays on target during rapid follow-up shots in a way that genuinely surprises people the first time they shoot it.
The 5.5" barrel is threaded at 1/2×28 right-hand pitch and finished in black nitride (QPQ) for durability and corrosion resistance, so if you own or are planning to own a 9mm suppressor, this gun was made with that in mind. A full-length MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rail runs the length of the top for mounting a red dot or magnified optic, and there's a shorter Picatinny section on the bottom for a light or laser. The included Magpul MBUS-style low-profile flip sights fold flat and co-witness cleanly with most optics. Ambidextrous controls, a short-throw safety lever, and the smooth pivoting trigger with audible and tactile reset make the gun straightforward to operate regardless of which hand is dominant.
The G2 generation also brought 4-pin tool-less disassembly to the platform, which is a genuinely useful upgrade. Field-stripping the Vector doesn't require punches or specialized tools, and the design also supports tool-less caliber interchangeability if you decide to expand into other Vector calibers down the road. A quick-detach rear sling swivel comes standard, keeping the gun compact and easy to manage during transport or while moving through tight spaces.
One of the more practical things about the Vector SDP is that it feeds from full-size Glock 17-pattern magazines. Standard G17 17-round mags work, and the gun will also accept Glock 33-round magazines if you want higher capacity. The included 40-round magazine ships with the pistol and is a real selling point for range use. Sticking with the most widely available pistol magazine platform on the planet means you're never stuck hunting for proprietary accessories.
The Vector SDP G2 feeds from full-size Glock 17-pattern magazines, which are among the easiest pistol mags to find on the market. Standard Glock 17 17-round magazines work, as do the extended Glock 33-round mags. The gun ships with a 40-round magazine included.

The Super V system is a closed-bolt delayed-blowback design where a low-mass slider is guided by channels that run perpendicular to the barrel inside the frame. When fired, the bolt's energy is redirected downward rather than straight back, which counteracts the barrel's natural tendency to rise. Combined with the Vector's extremely low bore axis, the result is noticeably reduced muzzle climb and felt recoil compared to a conventional blowback pistol.
The G2 ships with Magpul MBUS-style low-profile flip sights front and rear. They fold flat when not in use and pop up cleanly when needed. The rear sight is adjustable for windage and co-witnesses well with most red dot optics mounted on the full-length top rail.
The Vector platform was designed with that flexibility in mind, and KRISS does offer stock and folding adapter components for the platform. As a pistol, the SDP G2 does not include a stock or brace from the factory. Any conversion to an SBR configuration involves additional processes outside the scope of a standard purchase.
The Gen 2 update brought several meaningful upgrades over the original, most notably 4-pin tool-less disassembly that eliminates the need for punches or a dedicated tool to field strip the gun. The G2 also added tool-less caliber interchangeability, making it straightforward to swap to a different Vector caliber upper if desired. Controls and ergonomics were also refined in the second generation.
