This Gen 3 Multi-Mag version in tan takes the folding 9mm carbine concept and fixes the one gripe people had with earlier models: now the forend rotates as you fold it, so a mounted red dot stays put and stays zeroed. Pop the latch, swing it open, and you go from a 16 inch package to a full carbine in a couple of seconds.
The standard SUB-2000 is locked into Glock magazines. The Multi-Mag grip frame is a different animal. Pull a couple of screws and swap the internal mag catch, and this carbine can feed from S&W M&P, SIG P320 and P226, Beretta 92, CZ75, and Canik TP9 pattern magazines, among others. That means the pistol already sitting in your safe probably shares mags with this rifle, which simplifies everything from range trips to a truck or cabin setup. Beyond the rotating forend, the Gen 3 brings a cleaner trigger, a reworked operating handle that is easier on the hand, an ambidextrous bolt hold-open, and an M-LOK handguard for lights and accessories. The 16.1 inch barrel wears 1/2×28 threading, so a muzzle device or suppressor bolts right on. The simple blowback action strips down for cleaning without tools, and 9mm out of a carbine length barrel picks up noticeable velocity while recoil stays soft enough for newer or smaller-framed folks to enjoy.
At roughly 4.25 pounds unloaded and about 16 inches folded, this thing disappears into places a traditional rifle never could. The tan furniture over the darker receiver gives it a sharp two-tone look, and the whole package makes a great range companion, trail gun, or grab-and-go carbine that shares ammo and magazines with your everyday pistol.

Earlier generations forced you to choose between an optic and the folding feature, and the Gen 3 solves that completely.
It is. The 16.1 inch barrel comes threaded 1/2×28, which is the standard pattern for most 9mm suppressors and muzzle devices. Just spin off the thread protector and you are ready to mount your can or comp.
The longer barrel gives 9mm loads a healthy velocity bump over a typical handgun, which flattens trajectory and adds energy downrange. Combined with a shoulder stock and the carbine's soft blowback recoil, most people shoot it far more accurately than a pistol, especially at 50 yards and beyond. It is also just a pleasant, low-recoil gun that newer shooters tend to pick up quickly.
