This is a full chrome bolt carrier group from KAK Industry, built to the M16 full-auto profile for AR-15 and M16 rifles chambered in 5.56 NATO and .223 Remington. The whole thing is machined and assembled in-house at KAK's Missouri facility, and the bright silver chrome finish gives it a look that stands out from the usual matte black BCGs while doing real work under the hood.
The carrier is cut from aircraft-quality 8620 steel with the rails, bolt runs, and gas bores ground to tight .0002 inch tolerances, then given a heavy chrome finish. The bolt is machined from a single piece of 9310 steel, shot peened and MPI tested so you know it has been checked for hidden cracks. Rounding it out is an 8740 chrome-plated firing pin, a billet-machined extractor, S7 tool steel internals, and a 4130 gas key that is torqued to spec and hydraulically staked so it stays put round after round.
Chrome is the original AR bolt carrier coating, favored going all the way back to Eugene Stoner for its heat resistance and natural lubricity. In practical terms, that slick surface means carbon and fouling do not cling as hard, so cleanup is mostly a wipe-down instead of a scrub session. It also holds up well against corrosion, which is handy if your rifle sees humidity, rain, or long stretches in storage between range trips.
This is a standard mil-spec-pattern group, so it drops straight into a compatible AR-15 or M16 upper with no fitting or fuss. It works equally well as a fresh build component, a spare to keep in the range bag, or a swap-in upgrade when your old carrier is showing its miles.
