The tube style forend comes off with a quick turn of the wrist, no tools required, so the whole rifle packs down small enough to ride in the included JRC slingpack. That padded 600D polyester pack makes it dead simple to haul this carbine to the range, toss it behind the truck seat, or stash it in a closet without eating up space. Reassembly takes seconds, and you are back to sending rounds downrange.
At its heart, this is a straight blowback 9mm Luger carbine feeding from Glock pattern magazines, and it ships with one 10 round mag. If you already run a Glock 9mm, your spare mags carry right over, which keeps things simple. The 17 inch parkerized 4140 chromoly barrel wrings extra velocity out of the 9mm cartridge while keeping recoil so mild that new and smaller framed folks tend to fall in love with it fast. The receiver, trigger housing, and magazine well are machined from 6061-T6 aluminum with a hardcoat anodized finish, and a Picatinny rail is machined right into the top of the receiver for your red dot or optic of choice.
This version wears a fixed Thordsen style stock in place of the usual pistol grip and adjustable buttstock setup. It gives the rifle a smooth, traditional feel in the hands with a solid cheek weld, and plenty of owners find it more comfortable than they expected. The controls are ambidextrous friendly too, since the charging handle and ejection can be configured for either side.
Between the takedown convenience, Glock mag compatibility, cheap 9mm ammo, and JRC's limited lifetime warranty backing it up, this carbine is a natural fit for campers, boaters, road trippers, and anyone who wants a compact, easy-shooting range companion.
It feeds from Glock pattern 9mm magazines and ships with one 10 round mag. Double stack mags that fit Glock 17 and 19 pistols, including quality aftermarket options, will run in it. That crossover is one of the biggest perks if you already own a Glock 9mm.
The tube style forend twists off by hand with no tools required, splitting the rifle into a compact package that fits in the included slingpack. No sights or optics are included. There is a Picatinny rail machined directly into the top of the receiver, so mounting a red dot, flip-up irons, or a low power scope is quick and easy. A basic red dot is a popular pairing and works great at typical pistol caliber carbine distances.
