.375 Ruger 250gr CX Outfitter Hunting Ammunition

Description

The Hornady Outfitter line was built for the kind of hunting that takes place far from the truck. Whether you're navigating backcountry terrain or sitting tight in dense cover, this .375 Ruger loading features corrosion-resistant nickel-plated cases sealed watertight at the primer and case mouth. That means rain, snow, or crossing streams won't compromise your ammunition.

The CX Bullet in .375 Ruger

The real workhorse here is the CX (Copper alloy eXpanding) bullet. It's a single-piece monolithic construction that won't separate on impact, which gives you the weight retention you need for deep penetration even through heavy bone. The bullet delivers over 95% weight retention with controlled expansion, keeping energy transfer consistent whether you're pushing out to 250 yards or beyond. That weight retention translates to a reliable blood trail and quick, ethical kills on medium to large game.

Built for the Toughest Conditions

The 250 grain weight at 2800 feet per second is a sweet spot for .375 Ruger—enough velocity to shoot flat without excessive recoil, enough momentum to handle the toughest game you'll encounter in North America. The CX bullet wears Hornady's Heat Shield Tip, which resists aerodynamic heating and keeps your ballistic coefficient consistent throughout the bullet's flight. That matters more the farther you stretch your shot.

These are new production, boxer-primed, reloadable rounds in nickel-plated brass. The case construction makes them future-proof if you want to reload, and the nickel plating prevents corrosion whether you're carrying them in leather loops or dealing with sweat and moisture in the pack.
