The 5-inch cold hammer-forged barrel gives you extra velocity and a longer sight radius, while the lightening cuts in the slide keep the balance lively instead of nose-heavy. This particular configuration ships with a Vortex Defender-ST enclosed red dot mounted at the factory, along with two 10-round magazines, so there's no hunting for plates or fussing with mounting screws before your first range trip.

What the A1 Upgrades Bring to the VP9A1 L

HK reworked the whole VP9 platform for the A1 generation, and the changes are the kind you feel rather than just read about. The trigger got an enhanced system with a nickel-Teflon coated trigger bar for a smoother pull and cleaner break, and the grip lost the old finger grooves in favor of a flatter profile you can tailor with interchangeable backstraps and side panels.
