HK spent the better part of seven years developing the CC9, and it shows. This is not a gun that was rushed to market. Before a single one hit dealer shelves, the platform had over 750,000 rounds through it during development and testing, including extreme temperature, sand, mud, and drop tests that mirror what HK puts its military firearms through. The cold hammer-forged barrel is cut from the same grade of steel as the MP5's barrel, it's DLC coated alongside the slide for long-term durability, and the entire chassis system is rated for +P ammunition. When you pick this thing up, the tight slide-to-frame fit and refined finish quality tell you immediately that this is not your average micro-compact.

The CC9 Shoots Bigger Than It Looks

One of the most common complaints about micro-compact pistols is that they're unpleasant to shoot. HK put a lot of work into making sure the CC9 doesn't have that problem. The grip geometry was tuned to give you the same length of pull as the full-sized VP9, and the interchangeable backstraps let you dial in the fit for your hand size. The 5 lb. flat-faced trigger has a clean wall, short travel, and a reset that's crisp and easy to feel. Recoil is genuinely manageable for a pistol this light, thanks to the ergonomic work done during development. The 12-round magazine with its thumbrest baseplate gives you a full four-finger firing grip, while the flush 10-round mag shrinks the profile if you want to go as slim as possible.

HK CC9 Bazooka Green: Ready for a Red Dot from Day One

The CC9 comes optics-ready straight from the factory with a direct-mount RMSc/407K footprint milled into the slide. No adapter plate to worry about, and the Holosun 407K, 507K, EPS Carry, and most standard RMSc-footprint dots drop right on. If you prefer to run iron sights, the factory tritium front sight with its luminescent green ring and the blacked-out serrated rear give you a clean, fast sight picture without any of the cluttered three-dot setups. The Picatinny rail on the dustcover handles a weapon-mounted light or laser, which rounds out the package nicely for a carry or home defense setup.

This Bazooka Green variant features a Cerakote-finished slide over a black polymer frame, giving it a bold two-tone look that still reads as purpose-built rather than flashy. Safety-wise, HK loaded the CC9 with a full suite: trigger safety, passive firing pin safety, out-of-battery safety, and a safe takedown feature that requires the magazine to be removed before the gun can be field-stripped. The loaded chamber indicator built into the extractor gives you both a visual and tactile status check.
