The Hiperfire X2S MOD-2 takes the toggle-driven technology that made the brand's single-stage triggers famous and brings it to a true two-stage design. You get a short, user-adjustable first stage that runs 2 to 3 pounds depending on which springs you install, followed by a distinct wall and a light 1.5 pound second stage. Total pull comes in between 3.5 and 4.5 pounds with the included green or red springs. What you feel at the range is a defined take-up, a clean prep point, and a break with no mushy over-travel behind it.
The MOD-2 sits right in the sweet spot of the X2S family. Its first stage is a touch shorter than the MOD-1 for a faster, more fine-tuned prep, while it shares the exact same sear geometry and performance as the flat-faced MOD-3. The difference is the curved trigger bow and standard manganese phosphate coating, which is a great fit if you prefer a traditional trigger shape. If you ever want to change the feel, the curved bow accepts Hiperfire's HIPERSHOE finger pad, sold separately.

It lets the pull weight stay light without giving up hammer strike energy, and the Radical Sear Mechanics let you run heavier hammer springs to help cut down on light primer strikes and add longevity. Soft Start Lock-Up helps settle rifle flinch after the break, which pays off on longer shots. It is a semi drop-in kit made in the USA from mil-grade components, and it fits AR-15, AR-10, and AR-pattern pistol caliber carbines including the SIG MPX.

The MOD-2 has a shorter first stage than the MOD-1, giving you a quicker, more fine-tuned prep before the wall. It shares the same sear geometry and performance as the MOD-3, but the MOD-2 has a curved trigger bow with a manganese phosphate finish while the MOD-3 uses a flat bow with a black nitride coating and included HIPERSHOE. If you want a traditional curved trigger feel, the MOD-2 is the one to grab.
