Built with a 20 inch steel barrel, a black oxide finish, and checkered Turkish walnut furniture, this shotgun looks like it walked straight out of the Old West but handles like a modern working gun. At 38.2 inches overall it swings quick, points naturally, and stays light enough to carry all afternoon without wearing you out.
The fixed tubular magazine holds five rounds of 2.5 inch .410 shells, loaded through a right side gate just like a classic lever rifle. That side gate makes topping off simple, whether you are plinking clays with the family or slipping through the woods after squirrels and rabbits. Heritage ships it with a two round plug installed for the bird field, and pulling it gets you back to the full 5+1. The leather wrapped lever loop is a nice touch too. It feels good in the hand and keeps cycling comfortable through long sessions.
A brass bead up front keeps the sight picture fast and uncluttered, which suits a shotgun like this perfectly. Throw it up, put the bead on the target, and press the trigger. The .410 bore keeps recoil mild, so this is a great gun for introducing newer folks to shotgunning or just burning through a box of shells without a sore shoulder. Sling swivel mounts come standard for field carry, and a firing pin safety rounds out the practical features.

Heritage ships this shotgun with a two round plug installed in the tubular magazine, which is common for guns headed to the bird field. With the plug removed, the magazine holds five rounds for a full 5+1 capacity. Removal is straightforward and covered in the owner's manual.
Shells feed through a loading gate on the right side of the receiver, the same way you would load a classic lever action rifle. It is quick to top off between shots without taking the gun out of action. The leather wrapped lever loop makes cycling rounds comfortable and smooth.
The Range Side is made in Turkey by Balmaksan Arms and imported by Heritage Manufacturing, the same folks known for their Rough Rider rimfire revolvers. Fit and finish reflect solid Turkish shotgun craftsmanship, with checkered Turkish walnut furniture and a clean black oxide finish on the metalwork.
