The Big Boy Steel Side Gate gives you both a traditional side loading gate and Henry's removable tube magazine, which means you can feed rounds through the receiver like a classic lever gun or pull the tube to unload safely at the end of the day without running everything through the action. A Big Boy Steel Built for the Field

This version wears a 20 inch round blued steel barrel with a 1:16 twist and holds 10 rounds of .357 Magnum in the tube, plus one in the chamber. It will also happily run .38 Special when you want a soft shooting afternoon of plinking or you are introducing a new shooter to lever guns. Out of a rifle length barrel, .357 Magnum picks up a serious velocity bump over a revolver, putting it squarely in deer territory at woods distances while keeping recoil mild and the report easy on the ears. At 37.5 inches overall and around 7 pounds, the steel receiver keeps it noticeably lighter than its brass framed cousin, which your shoulder will appreciate on a long walk in.

Walnut, Steel, and Sights That Work

The checkered American walnut stock and fore-end look the part and give you a solid grip in wet weather, and the large loop lever runs smooth even with gloves on. A fully adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight with white diamond insert pairs with a brass bead up front, and the receiver comes drilled and tapped for Henry's BB-RSM scope mount if you would rather run glass or a red dot. Swivel studs and a black rubber recoil pad round it out.
