The Side Gate models give you a traditional loading gate on the receiver for quick top-offs in the field, plus Henry's removable tube magazine so you can unload at the end of the day without cycling live rounds through the action. The .44 Magnum picks up serious velocity out of a 20 inch barrel, pushing performance well past what the cartridge does from a revolver and making this a legitimate deer and hog rifle inside 100 yards or so. The round hard chrome plated barrel wears a brass bead front sight and a fully adjustable semi-buckhorn rear with diamond insert, and the receiver comes drilled and tapped if you'd rather run a scope. At 7 pounds with a 37.5 inch overall length, it carries easily and fits scabbards without a fuss.
