The 20 inch round barrel, receiver, lever, and magazine tube all wear industrial hard chrome plating, and the stained hardwood stock is sealed under a tough moisture-resistant coating. Rain, sleet, sweat from a long day in the saddle scabbard, none of it gives this rifle much to worry about.
This model gives you two ways to feed it. The traditional side loading gate lets you top off the 10-round magazine on the fly without breaking your grip, while the removable inner magazine tube makes unloading at the end of the day simple and safe, no need to cycle live rounds through the action. It's a genuinely useful setup that most lever guns don't offer, and once you've used it, going back feels like a step down.
Chambered for .357 Magnum and .38 Special, this rifle pulls double duty beautifully. The 20 inch barrel wrings serious extra velocity out of magnum loads, pushing them well past what any revolver can deliver, while .38s make for soft-shooting, budget-friendly range days. Pair it with a wheelgun in the same caliber and you've got one box of ammo feeding both. Sights are a brass bead up front with a fully adjustable semi-buckhorn rear with diamond insert, and the receiver comes drilled and tapped if you'd rather run glass.
At 7 pounds with a 37.5 inch overall length, a 14 inch length of pull, and a solid rubber recoil pad, the All-Weather carries easy and points naturally. Yes, it handles both. The chamber accepts full-power .357 Magnum loads as well as .38 Special, so you can run magnums for hunting and milder .38s for relaxed range sessions. Just keep in mind some very light or short .38 loads may feed less smoothly in tube-fed lever guns, so it's worth testing your preferred ammo.
You can. The receiver comes drilled and tapped from the factory, and it takes Henry's BB-RSM scope mount. Plenty of owners run a low-power scope or a red dot while keeping the factory brass bead and semi-buckhorn sights as backup.
You get both options. The side loading gate on the receiver lets you top off the magazine quickly in the field, and the traditional removable inner magazine tube lets you unload without cycling every round through the action. It's one of the more practical features Henry has added to the Big Boy line.
