The Harris BRM is the fixed-base member of the Harris bipod family, built for the shooter who wants a dead-steady rest with no side-to-side play. Unlike the swivel models, the BRM keeps its base solid and rigid, which is exactly what you want on a bench or shooting prone off flat ground. Legs extend from 6 to 9 inches and lock into notched settings at 1-inch intervals, so you can dial in the same height every single time and trust it to hold.
Harris has been the name to beat in bipods for decades, and the BRM shows why. The legs are spring-loaded, meaning they deploy fast and snap back into their stowed position with a firm return, folding forward toward the muzzle to stay out of your way when you're carrying. That quick-notch design gives you repeatable height changes without fumbling with knobs or twist locks in the field.
Construction is where these earn their reputation. The stressed parts are heat-treated spring steel, the body is high-strength anodized aluminum alloy, and the feet wear hard rubber caps for grip on a bench top or hard ground. All of that comes in at right around 10 to 11 ounces, so leaving it mounted for an all-day hunt won't weigh you down. The matte black anodized finish shrugs off weather and holds up round after round, even under heavier recoil.
The BRM clamps directly to a standard sling swivel stud, the kind found on most bolt-action and conventional-stock rifles, so there's no special adapter needed for a typical setup. It also includes a provision so you can still run a sling, and the hinged base offers tension adjustment to take out any slack. For AR-pattern rifles or other setups without a stud, a Harris adapter gets you mounted up. Made in the USA, as Harris has always done it.
The BRM has a fixed, solid base that doesn't pivot side to side, which gives you maximum rigidity for benchrest and flat-ground prone shooting. The S-BRM adds a swiveling base that cants laterally to help level your rifle on uneven terrain. If you shoot mostly off a bench or level ground and want the steadiest possible platform, the BRM is the one.

The notches let you set the exact same height every time, which is great for repeatable accuracy. The legs deploy quickly and fold forward toward the muzzle to stow out of the way.
