The section is precision CNC machined from solid aluminum and wears a Type III black hardcoat anodized finish, which is the same class of coating you'll find on quality handguards and receivers. That means it shrugs off the usual scuffs, sweat, and weather without turning your setup into a pile of extra ounces. At 3.8 inches with nine slots, it hits a useful middle ground: long enough to run a light, laser, or a bipod adapter, short enough that it won't eat up your whole handguard.
Installation is about as simple as it gets. The rail comes with the mounting hardware and an Allen key in the box, so you're not hunting through your parts bin the day it shows up. It clamps down onto your M-LOK slots, seats flat, and stays put.
