Description

Griffin Armament has been building suppressors since 2005, and the Dual-Lok 7 shows what two decades of refinement looks like. This is a .30 caliber can that comes in at just 12.6 ounces thanks to Griffin's laser-welded tubeless construction, a technique they pioneered back in 2010. Ditching the outer tube frees up internal volume and cuts weight, yet the combination of 17-4 stainless steel and 718 Inconel keeps this thing tougher than plenty of suppressors weighing nearly twice as much. It measures 1.5 inches in diameter and 7 inches long, and it only adds about 5.6 inches to your barrel with the included Minimalist Brake.

How the Dual-Lok Mount Earns Its Name

The mounting system is the star here. A precision taper interface paired with ACME threads gives you fast spin-on attachment and dead-consistent point of impact, so you zero once and move on. A spring-tensioned locking collar with anti-rotation teeth engages grooves on the muzzle device, giving you 120 effective locking positions so the can sits rock solid every single time. Best part is there are no wear-prone ratchets or consumable parts, which means no maintenance headaches and no loosening up under sustained fire. It is full-auto rated, handles everything up to 300 PRC, and has no minimum barrel length restrictions.

Dual-Lok 7 Sound and Flash Performance

Griffin's ECO-FLOW vented baffle architecture strikes a smart balance between suppression and backpressure. You get solid numbers, around 139 dB on a 16 inch .308 AR-10 and 125 dB with subsonic 300 Blackout from a 9.5 inch barrel, with noticeably less gas blowing back at your face. Lower backpressure also means your semi-auto runs closer to how it was set up in the first place, so you spend less time chasing tuning issues. The flow-optimized front cap keeps flash signature down too, a real plus for hunting at last light or running night vision.

A .30 Cal Can Built for Hard Use

Finished in high-temp Cerakote and backed by Griffin's lifetime warranty, the Dual-Lok 7 is a genuine do-it-all suppressor. Bolt gun, gas gun, 300 Blackout SBR, or a 5.56 carbine, one can covers the whole safe.

Frequently Asked Questions

What calibers can the Griffin Armament Dual-Lok 7 handle?

The Dual-Lok 7 is rated for .30 caliber and 7.62mm cartridges all the way up to 300 PRC, and it works great on smaller bores too, including 5.56mm and 300 Blackout. It's also full-auto rated. That flexibility makes it an easy pick if you want one can to rotate between several rifles.

Does the Dual-Lok 7 have a minimum barrel length requirement?

No. Griffin designed the Dual-Lok series without minimum barrel length restrictions for rifle calibers, so you can run it on short-barreled builds without worry. Longer barrels will extend service life, but short setups are fully supported.

How does the Dual-Lok mounting system work, and does it wear out?

The suppressor threads onto a tapered Dual-Lok muzzle device using fast ACME threads, then a spring-tensioned locking collar engages anti-rotation grooves for secondary retention. With 120 effective locking positions, the mount seats the same way every time for repeatable point of impact. There are no ratchets or consumable parts, so it stays tight without maintenance.

Does a muzzle device come with the Dual-Lok 7?

Yes, it ships with Griffin's DUAL-LOK Minimalist Brake in 5/8×24 thread pitch, which covers most .30 caliber rifles right out of the box. If you want to run it on additional hosts, Griffin offers Dual-Lok brakes, flash suppressors, and compensators in several thread pitches sold separately.
