Built in Michigan, this one wears an 18 inch 416R stainless steel barrel with a 1:16 twist against a black receiver set, giving it a sharp bi-tone look that stands out from the sea of all-black rifles on the rack. The heavy-profile barrel is threaded 9/16×24 and comes topped with a ported compensator, which takes the already mild recoil of the .350 Legend down another notch.
Inside the .350 Legend punches well above its looks. It pushes a .35 caliber bullet with enough energy to cleanly take whitetail out to 200 yards or so, with recoil soft enough that newer hunters and smaller-framed folks can shoot it comfortably all afternoon. The GL-15 feeds from an included 5-round magazine and uses modified M4-style feed ramps to keep those straight-walled cases running smoothly. A 7075 aluminum upper receiver keeps things rigid without piling on weight, and the mil-spec trigger breaks in the 5.5 to 6 pound range, right where you'd expect a working rifle to sit.
