The .223 Wylde chamber is a smart pick for a gun like this. It handles 5.56 NATO pressures without complaint while holding tighter tolerances than a standard 5.56 chamber, so you get better accuracy out of .223 Remington too. Feed it whatever brass or steel case ammo you find on sale and it keeps running. The 7.5 inch heavy profile barrel wears a slick 4150 CRMOV black nitride treatment, spins bullets with a 1:8 twist that stabilizes most common weights, and comes threaded 1/2×28 with a ported compensator installed. M4 feed ramps, a .750 low profile gas block, and a pistol length gas system round out a barrel setup that runs reliably across a wide range of loads.
The upper and lower are forged 7075 T6 aluminum, and the free float aluminum M-LOK handguard lines up with the flat top upper for an uninterrupted Picatinny rail across the top. That gives you plenty of real estate for a red dot, backup sights, a light, or whatever else you want to hang on it. No sights come installed, so plan on adding an optic before your first range trip. One thing worth knowing up front: this pistol ships with a bare pistol buffer tube and no brace, which keeps the cost down and lets you set it up your way. At right around five pounds, it makes a handy truck gun, home defense option, or just a fun way to burn through a range day. A 30 round magazine is included in the box.
