Description

Grand Power took everything people liked about the Stribog platform and built it into a proper carbine. The SP9A3G runs a roller-delayed blowback action instead of the straight blowback system most 9mm carbines rely on, and the difference shows up the moment you touch one off. Recoil is noticeably softer, the gun stays flatter through strings of fire, and it behaves far better with a suppressor hung on the 1/2×28 threaded muzzle. The 16 inch barrel wrings out extra velocity from 9mm loads and keeps things simple at the counter, no extra paperwork required to take it home like a standard rifle.

Why the SP9A3G Feeds From Glock Mags

The G in the model name is the feature a lot of folks have been waiting for. Rather than tying you to proprietary magazines, this version feeds straight from Glock-pattern mags, which are cheap, everywhere, and probably already in your range bag. Grand Power ships it with a Magpul PMAG so you are up and running out of the box. Capacity sits at 30+1 with a standard stick, and the big feed ramp keeps things running smoothly with a wide range of ammo.

Built Like a Working Carbine

The receiver is hardcoat anodized aluminum with a full-length Picatinny rail up top for your red dot or LPVO, plus an M-LOK handguard for lights and hand stops. Iron sights come installed, so it shoots right out of the case. The charging handle is non-reciprocating and swappable to either side, the safety and bolt release are ambidextrous, and the trigger group follows the familiar AR pattern. The side-folding polymer stock shortens the whole package considerably for storage or transport, then locks up solid when deployed.

Where the Stribog Carbine Shines

This is a natural fit for PCC matches, steel plates, suppressed range days, and home defense duty where cheap 9mm practice ammo means you will train with it more. At roughly six and a half pounds it swings fast, and the soft-shooting action makes long sessions easy on the shoulder. If you have wanted a Stribog without the extra hoops, this is the one to grab.

Frequently Asked Questions

What magazines does the Stribog SP9A3G use?

The SP9A3G is set up from the factory to run Glock-pattern magazines, which is the whole point of the G in the name. That means OEM Glock mags, Magpul PMAGs, ETS, and other aftermarket sticks all work. One Magpul PMAG comes in the box, and since Glock mags are inexpensive and sold just about everywhere, keeping a stack of spares is easy.

Is the Stribog SP9A3G suppressor ready?

Yes. The 16 inch barrel is threaded 1/2×28, which is the standard pitch for most 9mm suppressors and muzzle devices, and it ships with a thread protector installed. The roller-delayed action also makes it a genuinely pleasant suppressor host, since it runs cleaner and softer than the straight blowback carbines that tend to spit gas back at you.

How does roller-delayed blowback help on a 9mm carbine?

Straight blowback guns need a heavy bolt and stiff spring to work, which translates into more felt recoil and bolt slap. The roller-delayed system in the SP9A3G, similar in concept to the MP5, delays the bolt mechanically instead, so recoil is softer, the muzzle stays flatter, and follow-up shots come quicker. It is one of the main reasons the Stribog line has earned such a strong reputation for shootability.

Does the SP9A3G charging handle reciprocate?

No, current Stribogs including the SP9A3G use a non-reciprocating charging handle, which was one of the most requested updates over the original A1. It stays put while you shoot, so you can grip the handguard however you like. It can also be swapped to either side of the receiver, which pairs nicely with the ambidextrous safety and controls.
