Description
The Stribog has earned a real following among PCC fans, and this SP9A1 package in Flat Dark Earth is the most complete way to get into one. Grand Power builds these in Slovakia around an extruded aircraft-grade aluminum upper mated to a glass-reinforced polymer lower, so it feels solid without getting heavy. The 8 inch barrel comes threaded 1/2×28 with a protector installed, and the simple direct blowback action has a reputation for running just about anything you feed it, suppressed or not.
The Tailhook Brace Makes This SP9A1
Instead of shipping as a bare pistol, this version comes from the factory with a two-position collapsible PDW brace fitted with the Gear Head Works Tailhook. It rides on the rear Picatinny interface and keeps the whole package short and manageable, which is exactly what you want out of a 9mm this size. The FDE finish on the receiver and polymer furniture gives it a look that stands apart from the sea of all-black sub guns.
Stribog SP9A1 Controls and Rail Space
The charging handle is non-reciprocating and can be swapped to either side, and the safety and magazine release are both ambidextrous, so lefties are covered out of the box. A full-length top Picatinny rail hosts the folding iron sights and leaves plenty of room for a red dot, while M-LOK slots on the handguard and a bottom rail handle lights and other accessories. The aftermarket for this platform is deep too, from triggers to lowers to braces, so there is plenty of room to make it your own.
Everything in One Case
Grand Power packs this one right. You get three 30 round magazines, one curved and two straight, all nested in a fitted hard case alongside the gun. Add ammo and an optic if you want one, and you are set for the range the day it comes home.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Stribog SP9A1 suppressor ready?
Yes. The 8 inch barrel comes threaded in the common 1/2×28 pattern with a thread protector installed, so most 9mm cans will spin right on. The Stribog has a solid reputation as a suppressor host, and running heavier subsonic loads like 147 grain keeps things especially quiet.
What magazines does the SP9A1 use?
It feeds from Grand Power's proprietary double-stack, double-feed magazines, and three 30 rounders come in the case, one curved and two straight. Factory mags are also available in 10 and 20 round sizes at reasonable prices. If you want cross-compatibility with Scorpion pattern mags, aftermarket lowers exist for that.
Does the charging handle move when firing?
No. This is the updated version of the SP9A1 with a non-reciprocating charging handle, so it stays put while the gun cycles. It can also be swapped to either side of the receiver, which pairs nicely with the ambidextrous safety and magazine release.
What is the difference between the Stribog SP9A1 and the SP9A3?
The SP9A1 uses a simple direct blowback action, while the SP9A3 runs a roller-delayed system that softens recoil a bit. The A1 has long been regarded as the more proven of the two thanks to its straightforward design, and it typically comes in at a lower price point. Both share the same overall layout, rails, and magazine pattern.
