The Glock G19 V in OD Green Cerakote is one of the more complete factory builds Glock has put together in recent memory. It ships with a 4.6-inch threaded barrel, an RMR optic tactical cut already milled into the slide, and three 15-round magazines. Whether you're running a suppressor, mounting a red dot, or both, this pistol comes configured for it from the factory. The OD Green Cerakote finish is more than cosmetic, it provides a tough, corrosion-resistant coating that holds up to regular use and looks good doing it.
The V-Series designation is worth understanding before you buy. This is not a Gen 6 and not a dramatic redesign. Glock launched the V-Series in late 2025 as a platform refresh that keeps all the Gen5 exterior geometry intact, meaning your Gen5 holsters, weapon lights, and most external accessories will carry right over. The internal changes are real though. Glock redesigned the trigger group and slide internals specifically to make the pistol physically incompatible with illegal auto-conversion devices, which had become the source of significant legal pressure on the company. The external ergonomics remain unchanged: smooth front strap without finger grooves, an ambidextrous slide stop, and a flared magwell that makes reloads quick and natural. If you've shot a Gen5 G19, the V will feel identical in your hands.
The slide on this pistol has been custom-milled with an RMR optic footprint, which gives you a direct-mount solution for Trijicon RMRs and a wide range of compatible red dots that share the same footprint. This is a cleaner setup than going through a separate milling service after purchase, and it keeps the optic sitting lower on the slide for better co-witnessing with your iron sights. Pairing a red dot with the threaded barrel on a suppressed setup is a natural combination, since suppressor height becomes a non-issue when your optic is already mounted directly to the slide.
The 4.6-inch threaded barrel is one of the key selling points here. Most standard G19 barrels run around 4.0 inches, so the added length on this one is the threading extension. It extends just past the slide muzzle, which is normal and expected with any factory threaded barrel configuration. If you're planning to run this with a suppressor, verify the thread pitch against your specific can before mounting. V-Series parts are not cross-compatible with older Glock models, so keep that in mind if you plan to swap internal components down the road.
The Glock V-Series is a platform refresh Glock launched in late 2025, replacing most Gen5 production. Externally it is essentially identical to the Gen5, sharing the same dimensions, grip texture, controls, and ergonomics. In most cases, yes. The external dimensions of the V-Series are unchanged from the Gen5, so holsters, weapon lights, lasers, and most external accessories designed for the Gen5 G19 should fit without issue. The exception is internal components and some slide-specific parts like the back plate, which use a new design. External bolt-on accessories transfer over cleanly.
The slide is milled with a Trijicon RMR footprint, which is one of the most widely used optic mounting standards in the handgun world. Beyond Trijicon RMR and SRO models, many other red dots share or adapt to the RMR footprint. Check the footprint specs of your specific optic before purchase, but compatibility options are broad.
Glock's factory threaded barrels on 9mm pistols have historically used metric thread patterns rather than the common 1/2×28 standard found on most U.S.-made muzzle devices. Always verify the thread specification on this specific barrel against your suppressor or muzzle device before mounting. Adapters are available if there's a pitch mismatch, but confirming specs upfront saves a lot of headaches.
Glock does not publish separate sight specs for this specific V-Series configuration. The OD Green V-Series build is focused on the optic-ready RMR-cut slide, so many buyers will run a red dot directly without relying heavily on iron sights. Confirm sight configuration at time of purchase, as factory sights on optic-ready builds can vary.
This is something to be cautious about. Glock V-Series internals are not cross-compatible with Gen3, Gen4, or Gen5 parts. The redesigned trigger housing, firing pin assembly, and back plate all use new geometry. As of the V-Series launch, many aftermarket trigger manufacturers had not yet released V-Series-specific compatible versions. External accessories like sights, mag plates, and optics attach without issue, but internal trigger upgrades require confirmed V-Series compatibility from the manufacturer.
