The Glock 19 Gen6 is the first real shakeup the compact G19 has seen in a while, and the threaded barrel version adds suppressor and compensator readiness right out of the box. This is the P61950203TB, a 9mm Luger pistol with a 4.02 inch marksman barrel capped with 1/2×28 threads, a factory optic-ready slide, and the new Gen6 frame that Glock built around real-world feedback from carry, duty, and competition use.
The headline change is the optic ready system. Instead of the older stacked MOS plate setup, the Gen6 mounts your red dot lower and closer to the bore using a set of included adapter plates, so dots like the Holosun 507K, Trijicon RMR, and Aimpoint ACRO sit down in the slide where they belong. The slide also wears deeper, angled serrations that give you a more tactile grip for press checks and clearing, plus an enlarged slide stop border so you are not bumping it by accident under pressure.
Glock reworked the grip with a palm swell built around average hand size and spread the RTF6 texture over more of the frame, including the thumb rest. The result locks into your hand without chewing it up. The undercut trigger guard and shorter trigger reach let you ride higher on the frame for better recoil control, and the flat-faced trigger gives you consistent finger placement with a cleaner break than the Gen5 while keeping the familiar Safe Action pull weight. Interchangeable backstraps let you dial the fit, and the ambidextrous slide stop plus reversible mag catch make this one friendly for lefties and righties alike.
That 1/2×28 muzzle is the standard thread pitch for 9mm suppressors and compensators, so most cans and muzzle devices thread right on. When you are shooting bare, the included thread protector keeps the threads safe from dings and crud. If you plan to run a suppressor regularly, suppressor-height sights or a dot are worth adding so you can see over the can. The factory sights sit lower and may be blocked by a larger suppressor. For unsuppressed range and carry use, the standard sights work fine as they come.
