The 7.5 inch heavy-profile barrel is 4150 CRMOV steel with a black nitride treatment, which resists wear and corrosion while making cleanup easier. The .223 Wylde chamber is the smart choice here since it handles both .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO without a hiccup, and the 1:8 twist stabilizes a wide spread of bullet weights from light varmint loads up to heavier 77 grain match ammo. A pistol-length gas system with a .750 gas block keeps it cycling reliably in this short format, and the muzzle comes threaded 1/2×28 with a brake already installed to help tame muzzle rise.
The aluminum M-LOK handguard has a full-length Picatinny top rail, so mounting a red dot, light, or hand stop is simple. M4 feed ramps aid feeding with the shorter gas system, and the mil-spec trigger breaks in the familiar 5.5 to 6 pound range. There are no sights included, which most buyers prefer anyway since an optic is usually the first upgrade on a pistol like this.

GLFA is a certified Cerakote applicator and does all coating in-house at their Michigan shop, so it's applied and cured to spec. Like any finish it can show wear at contact points over years of hard use, but it holds up far better than paint or standard anodizing.
