This TALO edition pairs a titanium nitride finished slide with a black polymer frame for a sharp two-tone look, and it ships topped with a Far-Dot red dot featuring a 4 MOA dot, so there is nothing to buy or mount before your first range trip. Underneath is everything that made this platform take off: a clean single-action trigger, 17+1 rounds of 9mm on tap, and the grip angle and controls that 1911 fans already know by feel.
The 4.25 inch Commander-length barrel keeps the pistol balanced and quick from the holster while staying easy to live with all day. Girsan rounded out the package with a skeletonized trigger, extended beavertail, ambidextrous thumb safety alongside the traditional grip safety, and checkering on the front and back straps to lock the gun into your hands. A Picatinny rail on the dust cover handles lights and lasers, and at roughly 26 ounces unloaded, the polymer frame keeps this one noticeably lighter than most all-steel pistols in the category.
The slide is cut to the RMS/RMSc footprint, so if you ever want to swap the included Far-Dot for another compact red dot, it goes straight on without adapter plates. The removable rear sight setup means you are covered either way. Magazine compatibility with standard double-stack 1911 mags makes finding spares simple, and one 17-round magazine comes in the box. For steel matches, weekend range sessions, or nightstand duty, the Negotiator delivers a whole lot of pistol without the premium 2011 sticker shock.
Yes, this TALO edition ships with EAA's Far-Dot red dot mounted from the factory. It features a 4 MOA dot with windage and elevation adjustments and runs on a common CR2032 battery with automatic brightness. If you want to upgrade later, the RMS/RMSc slide cut accepts other compact optics without an adapter plate.
The slide is machined for the RMS/RMSc footprint, one of the most common patterns for compact red dots. That covers popular options like the Shield RMSc, Holosun 407K and 507K, and similar micro dots. They mount directly to the slide with no plates needed.
It does. The 2311 is built around standard double-stack 1911 magazine compatibility, which makes tracking down spare mags much easier than with some proprietary designs. One 17-round magazine is included in the box.
