Geissele built the MK8 Super Modular Rail for folks who want a free-float handguard that just plain works. This 15-inch model runs the length of a rifle-gassed build and gives you a stable, rigid platform to hang lights, lasers, sights, bipods, and anything else you like. It uses Magpul's M-LOK system at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions along with the upper 45-degree quadrants, so you've got plenty of room to set up your gun exactly how you shoot it.
The secret sauce here is Geissele's proprietary long barrel nut. It's a chunkier design than a standard nut, and that extra surface contact where the rail meets the receiver keeps everything straight and true down the whole length of the tube.
