Polymer frames dominate the striker-fired market, so when a company machines one entirely from bar stock metal, it gets attention. The Fusion XF PRO is exactly that: an all-metal, striker-fired 9mm built around an aluminum frame and a chrome-finished slide, CNC machined for tight tolerances and a fit that feels a step above what you'd expect at this level. It came out of a partnership between Fusion Firearms, the folks known for their 1911 work, and Ermox, and that 1911 heritage shows in the details.
Instead of locking you into a proprietary magazine, Fusion designed the XF PRO around the Glock pattern, which means cheap, reliable mags are available just about everywhere. Two 15-round magazines come standard. The 4-inch fluted barrel is Glock Gen 4 compatible as well and wears a Tennifer finish for wear and corrosion resistance, so replacement and upgrade options are wide open down the road.
The slide is cut for red dots and ships with both RMR and RMS/C mounting plates, so most popular micro dots bolt right on without hunting down adapters. If you prefer irons, the fixed combat sights get the job done. Pro serrations front and rear plus vent cuts give the chrome slide plenty of grip and a look that stands apart on the rack. A competition-style flat-face trigger breaks clean and consistent, which makes accurate follow-up shots easier whether you're punching paper or running drills.
The aluminum frame keeps weight to a manageable 26.5 ounces with an overall length of 7.29 inches, compact enough to carry and comfortable enough to shoot all afternoon. Sure Grip checkering and a tactical rail round out the frame, and Fusion includes interchangeable grip panels in black and red so you can swap the look and feel to suit you. A manual thumb safety adds a familiar control for anyone coming from the 1911 world. For a metal-frame striker gun with this feature list, the XF PRO is a genuinely interesting alternative to the usual polymer suspects.
Yes, it was designed around the Glock magazine pattern from the start. It ships with two 15-round Glock-compatible mags, and aftermarket Glock-pattern magazines are among the most affordable and widely available on the market. That makes keeping spares on hand easy and inexpensive.
The slide is optic-cut and includes both RMR and RMS/C mounting plates, which covers most of the popular micro red dot footprints out there. Optics like the Trijicon RMR, Holosun 507C, and Shield RMS/RMSc-pattern dots mount directly using the appropriate plate. No extra adapters to hunt down.
It is all metal, which is fairly rare in the striker-fired world. The frame is aluminum and the whole pistol is CNC machined from bar stock. Even with the metal construction it weighs just 26.5 ounces, so it stays practical for carry.
It works well for both. At 7.29 inches overall with a 4-inch barrel and 15+1 capacity, it sits in that compact sweet spot that carries comfortably but still shoots like a full-size. The flat-face trigger and optic-ready slide also make it a fun, capable range and competition option.
