There is a lot to like about a 9mm AR pistol that feeds from the same double-stack Glock-pattern magazines you probably already have in your range bag. That is the whole idea behind the Freedom Ordnance FX9P. This version ships with the SB Tactical SBA3 brace installed from the factory, an 8 inch nitride-treated barrel, and a faux suppressor that gives the muzzle end a clean, finished look while adding a little balance up front. Wrap the whole thing in an Olive Drab Green anodized finish and you have a pistol caliber AR that does not look like every other one on the wall.
Freedom Ordnance machines the FX9P receivers from billet aluminum with a Type III hardcoat, and the upper and lower are over an inch shorter than a standard AR-15, which trims weight and keeps the whole package compact at around 23.5 inches overall. The wear parts get real attention too. The barrel, bolt, extractor, ejector, and feed ramp are all nitride treated for corrosion resistance and long service life. The 8 inch 4150 chrome moly barrel carries a 1:10 twist and a 1/2×28 threaded muzzle under that faux can, and the free-float handguard gives you 7.5 inches of M-Lok real estate for lights, hand stops, or whatever else you like to bolt on.
If you already shoot an AR-15, the learning curve here is basically zero. The safety selector, magazine release, and bolt hold-open all live where your thumb expects them, and last round bolt hold-open is built in, which is not a given on every pistol caliber gun in this class. Feeding from affordable, easy-to-find Glock-pattern mags with a 31+1 capacity means long range sessions without constant reloading, and 9mm keeps ammo costs friendly. The platform is modular as well, accepting most AR-15 stocks, buffer tube assemblies, and free-float rails, so you can tweak it down the road.

The FX9P feeds from standard double-stack Glock-pattern 9mm magazines and ships with a 31-round mag for a 31+1 total capacity. That means factory Glock mags, Magpul PMAGs, SGM, KCI, and other Glock-style options will all run in it. It also has last round bolt hold-open, which many Glock-mag PCCs skip.
Yes. The faux suppressor threads onto a standard 1/2×28 muzzle, so you can swap it for a compensator, flash hider, or an actual suppressor if you go that route. It is there to give the 8 inch barrel a finished, full-length look and add a touch of weight up front.
