The FX9R feeds from standard double stack Glock-pattern 9mm magazines, and one 32-round mag comes in the box. That means factory Glock mags, Magpul GL9 mags, ETS mags, and even 50-round drums will fit. If you already own a Glock 17 or 19, your pistol mags will run in this carbine too.

Skip aluminum-cased, steel-cased, remanufactured, and bare lead ammo, as those can cause fouling issues and may affect the warranty. Stick to quality jacketed ammo and this carbine will hum along.
No, it ships optics ready with a full-length Picatinny top rail and no iron sights installed. Most owners mount a red dot for fast target acquisition at typical PCC distances, though flip-up backup irons work great too. The flat top gives you plenty of room for whatever sighting setup you prefer.
