Description

Wet tumbling gets brass cleaner than any vibratory setup, inside and out, primer pockets included. The trouble is piecing together all the gear. Frankford Arsenal solved that with the Rotary Tumbler Lite Pro Kit, a complete bundle that takes you from a bucket of grimy range pickups to cases that look factory fresh and ready for the press.

The heart of the kit is the Rotary Tumbler Lite, a compact unit built around a maintenance-free direct drive motor with no belts or gears to wear out. The 3.3 liter drum handles up to 300 pieces of .223 brass per load, which makes it a great fit for specialty cartridges and smaller batches without hogging bench space. A clear leak-proof cap with a rubber seal lets you peek at the tumbling action while keeping your reloading area dry, and the integrated carry handle means you can lift the full drum off and dump it without wrestling it.

What Comes in the Rotary Tumbler Lite Pro Kit

Alongside the tumbler you get a wet/dry media separator, a brass dryer, and 2 pounds of stainless steel pin media to get you going right out of the box. The stainless pins ride the water bath into case mouths and primer pockets, scrubbing out carbon and grime that dry media can never reach. Once a load finishes, the separator basket drops your cases and pins apart in seconds so you are not picking pins out one at a time.

Drying Brass After the Tumbler Lite

The brass dryer closes out the process with forced-air convection and a 500 watt heating element that moves warm air up to 160 degrees through removable vented trays. That dries cases inside and out in under an hour and cuts down on water spotting, so you are not waiting on air drying overnight. The trays let you keep different calibers separated in the same run. One note worth knowing: the brass cleaning solution is sold separately, though a little dish soap and Lemi-Shine does the job just fine too.

Frequently Asked Questions

What comes in the Rotary Tumbler Lite Pro Kit?

The kit includes the Frankford Arsenal Rotary Tumbler Lite, a wet/dry media separator, a brass dryer, and 2 pounds of stainless steel pin media. That covers tumbling, separating, and drying, so you have the core gear to run a full wet cleaning workflow. You will want to add a brass cleaning solution or some dish soap and Lemi-Shine, since cleaning solution is not part of the bundle.

How much brass does the Tumbler Lite hold per load?

The 3.3 liter drum handles up to 300 pieces of .223 brass at a time. That works out to roughly half as many larger cases like .308, depending on the case. It is a nice size for specialty cartridges and smaller reloading batches without taking over your bench.

Do I need stainless steel pins with this kit?

The kit ships with 2 pounds of stainless steel pins, so you are set right out of the box. The pins ride the water into case mouths and primer pockets to scrub out carbon that dry media cannot reach. You can also run the tumbler without pins using just solution and water, though pins give you that like-new, reload-ready finish.

How long does the brass dryer take?

The dryer uses a 500 watt forced-air heating system that moves warm air up to 160 degrees through vented trays. In most cases it dries brass inside and out in under an hour. The forced-air convection also cuts down on water spotting compared to letting cases air dry.
