Every FN barrel gets High Pressure Tested and Magnetic Particle Inspected at the factory, which weeds out flaws and micro-stresses before it ever ships. The bore and chamber are chrome lined to fight corrosion and heat erosion, a big part of why these barrels hold up round after round. M4-style feed ramps and a proper barrel extension keep rounds chambering and extracting cleanly, and the matte black manganese phosphate finish shrugs off moisture and wear on the outside.
This one is meant for a rifle-length gas configuration, so plan your gas tube, handguard, and gas block around that spacing.
