Unlike OEM barrels that are built to looser tolerances, the Faxon Duty Series is machined to stricter specs, which means a tighter lockup between the barrel and slide. Tighter lockup leads to better accuracy and reliability. Installation is straightforward enough that you can swap it yourself if you're comfortable with basic firearm disassembly.

Yes. The Duty Series barrel is designed for factory SIG P365 XL slides with no gunsmithing required. However, because the P365 XL slide is very slim, you may need to remove the o-ring from the barrel during installation. Once installed, it seats securely and functions as a direct factory replacement.
The Duty Series features conventional rifling, which means it safely handles jacketed rounds, coated lead, and cast lead ammunition. This gives you flexibility depending on what ammo is available or affordable at the time. You'll get consistent performance across all these ammunition types.
Since this is a true drop-in barrel, most gunsmiths should be able to swap it out quickly. Costs vary by location and gunsmith, but a basic barrel swap is one of the simpler jobs and shouldn't take more than 30 minutes of labor. Many people do this swap at home with minimal tools.
